While at Piceci Architekten in Switzerland, I led the “Ex-Macello area” competition, a fascinating endeavour by the city of Lugano. Our mission: to transform an old and unused complex into a vibrant hub, including new student accommodations.
My team and I opted for a modern, slightly rotated design, aiming to give the area a new and fresh identity.
We wanted our project to be more than practical; we aimed to create a cultural and aesthetic anchor for the community.
The Ex-Macello project speaks to my ability to lead creatively in projects, showing a deep understanding of architecture and a commitment to shaping specific spaces with ad hoc solutions.
